AMM is a British free improvisation group that was founded in London in 1965. The group initially comprised Keith Rowe on guitar, Lou Gare on saxophone, and Eddie Prévost on drums. They were joined by Composer Cornelius Cardew and pianist John Tilbury. AMM has never been popular but was influential in improvised music. Outstanding albums include AMMMusic, The Crypt, The inexhaustible Document and the live album Before Driving to the Chapel we Took Coffee With Rick and Jennifer Reed.
