Baroness is an American heavy metal band formed 2003 in Savannah, Georgia by John Baizley, Allen Blickle, Summer Welch and Tim Loose. In 2012 while touring the UK the band's bus crashed and John Baizly suffered a broken arm and leg, also two other band members were seriously injured. Baizly recovered and restarted the band the following year. In 2017 guitarist left the band and was replaced by Gina Gleason. The band's albums are dressed in beautiful artwork done by John Baizley. Outstanding albums include Red Album, Blue Record and Purple.
