Benjamin Chase Harper is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born 1969 in Pomona, California. Harper plays an eclectic mix of blues, folk, soul, reggae and rock music and is known for his guitar-playing skills, vocals, live performances, and political activism. He fronts the band Innocent Criminals and collaborates with other artists such as The Blind Boys of Alabama and bluesman Charlie Musselwhite. Outstanding albums include Welcome to the Cruel World, Fight For Your Mind, The Will to Live, Burn to Shine and Live From Mars.
