The Ooz is the Second studio album by King Krule, released in 2017. On this release Krule aka Archy Marshall satisfies his ambitions to make a concept album. The album is a deep dive into Marshall's ambitions, the concept of The Ooz being described by KK himself as a slow process of somewhat bleeding oneself into the world. This is how to best describe the record, melancholic and meditative, the sounds melting into one another to create a dense, heavy sound. Take the tracks "Dum Surfer" and "A Slide In (New Drugs)" for the contrasting ends of the highs and lows. The Album's length and sparse nature make it a challenging listen, but it comes highly recommended due to the artistry on display.
