An original rare poster issued by 4AD Records from c.1985 featuring Nick Cave. The Birthday Party (originally The Boys Next Door) were an Australian post-punk band active 1978-1983. Despite limited commercial success, their influence has been far-reaching, being described as "one of the darkest and most challenging post-punk groups to emerge in the early '80s."
