Flying Lotus | Artist

Steven Ellison aka Flying Lotus is an American experimental music producer, electronic musician, DJ, filmmaker, and rapper born 1983 in Los Angeles, California. "FlyLo" attributes his experimental electronic nu-Jazz style to influences such as Madlib, Herbie Hancock and his great aunt Alice Coltrane. He is also the founder of the record label Brainfeeder, and is lately working on film and multimedia projects. His 2010 release Cosmogramma is a superb album. Other standout releases include Los Angeles and You're Dead!
