Voivod is a Canadian heavy metal band formed 1982 in Jonquière, Quebec. The band's current line-up consists of Denis "Snake" Bélanger, Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain, Dominique "Rocky" Laroche and Michel "Away" Langevin. They play Progressive Metal with some Space-rock and Prog influences, from bands such as Pink Floyd and Hawkwind. Outstanding albums include Killing Technology, Dimension Hatröss, Nothingface and The Outer Limits.
