Ayreon is a musical project by Dutch songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer Arjen Anthony Lucassen born 1960 in Hilversum North Holland. Ayreon's plays progressive rock/metal with elements of folk, electronica, experimental and classical music. His material revolves around the science fiction universe named Ayreon. Outstanding albums include Into the Electric Castle: A Space Opera, Universal Migrator Part 1 and The Human Equation.
