Danielle Dax is an English experimental musician and producer born 1958 in Southend-on-Sea, UK. Dax started her musical career in 1979 as keyboardist, flautist and saxophonist for avant-gard New Wave band Lemon Kittens alongside Karl Blake. That band split in 1982 and Dax continued as a soloist and recorded for studio albums of experiments post-punk/new wave music. She also worked in film, graphic art, interior design and stage-set design. Outstanding albums include Pop-Eyes, Jesus Egg That Wept and Inky Bloaters.
