Christina Vantzou | Artist

Christina Vantzou is an American of Greek descent composer and filmaker born in Kansas City, Missouri, but now residing in Brussels, Belgium. Starting out as one half of audio-visual duo The Dead Texan, alongside Adam Wiltzie from Stars of the Lid, she has since gone solo and to-date released four studio albums of modern classical ambient music on the Kranky label between 2011-2018. She accompanies each work by a short film often making use of slow motion photography, arranged using "dream logic". Outstanding albums include No.1, No.2, No.3 and No.4. The Dead Texan (2004) is an excellent album.
