Pat Metheny is an American jazz guitarist and composer born 1954 at Lee's Summit, Missouri. He leads the Pat Metheny Group and works with duets and on solo projects. He plays progressive and contemporary jazz, Latin jazz, and jazz fusion, and is regarded as one of the world's finest jazz guitarists. Outstanding albums include Pat Metheny Group, As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls, Imaginary Day, The Way Up, and the 2021 live album Side Eye NYC.
