Soul Coughing was an American alternative rock band formed 1992 in New York City. Composed of vocalist/guitarist Mike Doughty, keyboardist/sampler Mark Degli Antoni, bassist Sebastian Steinberg, and drummer Yuval Gabay, the band's sound mixed improvisational jazz, samples, hip-hop and electronics. Outstanding albums include Ruby Vroom and Irresistible Bliss.
