Spirit Caravan was an AmericanMaryland stoner metal band formed 1996 in Potomac, Maryland, by guitarist and vocalist Scott "Wino" Weinrich after the breakup of his former band The Obsessed. The lineup consisted of Weinrich (guitar, vocals), Dave Shermann (bass, vocals) and Gary Isom (drums). Weinrich credits his band colleagues for becoming active musically again, after he had abandoned his music career. Their initial releases, the EP Dreamwheel and album Jug Fulla Sun are excellent examples examples of their psych-tinged stoner doom metal sound. Other standout albums are Elusive Truth and The Last Embrace compilation.
