Testament is an American thrash metal band formed 1983 in Berkeley, California by Eric Peterson, Alex Skolnick, Chuck Billy, Louis Clemente and Greg Christian. Peterson is the only original band member still in the lineup. Testament is credited as one of the most popular and influential bands of the thrash metal scene. Outstanding albums include The Legacy, The New Order, The Gathering and First Strike Still Deadly.
