Josh Rouse is an American folk/roots singer-songwriter born 1972 in Oshkosh, Nebraska. Rouse began his recording career in Nashville in 1998 and later relocated to Spain. In his early years he moved to Nashville, where he met some local musicians and began recording. The initial recordings he put to tape eventually became his debut release, Dressed Up Like Nebraska, which was released in 1998, receiving critical acclaim from from Billboard Magazine. He went on to collaborate with Lambchop's Kurt Wagner on the EP Chester the following year. His next album Home included the track "Directions" which was used on the soundtrack to Cameron Crowe's film Vanilla Sky. Rouse recorded three more excellent albums: Under Cold Blue Stars, 1972 and Nashville, before relocating to Spain in 2004, where he works with his wife Paz Suay in a duo named She's Spanish I'm American. Rouse has released 14 studio albums, standouts include Dressed Up Like Nebraska, Under Cold Blue Stars, 1972 and Nashville.
