Van Halen is an American hard rock band formed 1972 in Pasadena, California. Original members were Eddie Van Halen, vocalist David Lee Roth, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony. Sammy Hagar from Montrose joined as vocalist in 1985. They are celebrity stars and sell millions of albums. Outstanding albums include Van Halen, Fair Warning and 1984.
