Electric Moon is a German psychedelic rock band formed 2010 in Fulda, German, by Sula Bassana (guitar, organ, synthesizer, drums, vocals), Komet Lulu (bass, vocals) and Pablo Carneval (drums). Sula Bassana aka Dave Schmidt, is a veteran of the German alternative rock scene having formed and recorded in many bands including Interkosmos, Krautzone and Zone Six. He also releases albums under the name Sula Bassana Frau Komet was also in Krautzone and Zone Six. The band's style is extended "trippy" psychedelic jams with copious wah-wah guitar solos. To-date the band has released six studio albums and many excellent live albums. Standouts include Lunatics Revenge, Sun and Moon, The Doomsday Machine, Stardust rituals and the 2012 live album, Cellar Space Live Overdose: Darmstadt. The name Sula Bassana is the latin species name for the Northern Gannet seabird.
