Banco del Mutuo Soccorso aka Banco is an Italian progressive rock band formed 1969 in Rome by brothers Vittorio and Gianni Nocenzi. The band was popular in Italy and Europe, and were signed to the Manticore label along with fellow Italian Proggers PFM. Their charismatic frontman, Francesco Di Giacomo, died in 2014 but the band is still active as of 2018. Their first three studio albums are classics: Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Darwin! and Io sono nato libero.
