Can "Future Days"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Mute Records, Europe, 2013, XSPOON9, Remastered, 180g Gold Vinyl, Limited Edition, Incl. Digital Download

Future Days is the fifth studio album from German krautrockers Can, originally released in 1973. Sounding more like a jazz record than a rock one, this is reckoned by many critics to be Can's best album, certainly right up there with Ege Bamyasi and Tago Mago. Boasting only four tracks, two of which surpass eight minutes and one nearly twenty, it's a long, sprawling epic with a dual-edged feel of both primal aggression and serene tranquility. This music is soothing yet challenging, mysterious yet catchy as hell. There are some truly beautiful passages on this album, with one critic describing it as like a funkier version of Miles Davis' classic In a Silent Way.
