Datblygu are an experimental Welsh rock group formed in 1982 in Cardigan, UK by David Edwards, Wyn Davies and Patricia Morgan. They played minimal wave stye of post-punk and are regarded as a catalyst of the new wave of Welsh rock in the early '80s. They sing in their native Welsh language and they were championed by John Peel on his radio program and Peel Sessions recording. Outstanding albums include Fi Du, Wyau and The Peel Sessions 1987-93.
