Black Rebel Motorcycle Club | Artist
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is an American rock band formed 1998 in San Francisco, California by Peter Hayes (guitar, bass, vocals), Robert Levon Been (bass, guitar, vocals) and Nick Jago (drums). Jago left in '08 and was replaced by Leah Shapiro. The band name comes from the Marlon Brando 1953 film "The Wild One". They play a style of blues-tinged neo-psych garage revival rock, influenced by band such as Led Zeppelin, Dinosaur Jr and Sonic Youth. Their 2001 debut album B.R.M.C. is excellent and it won them many fans for its retro '60's style. Other outstanding albums include Howl and Live in London.
