Buddy Guy & Junior Wells | Artist
Buddy Guy and Junior Wells were an American blues duo formed in the late 1960's. Both were established chicago blues players and recording artists in their own right. As a duo, Buddy Guy was the singer and master guitarist and Junior Wells also sang and played blues harmonica. Their first recording together was the superb Plays The Blues album from 1972. Two years later they followed up with the equally fine Drinkin' TNT 'n' Smokin' Dynamite which featured support musicians Pinetop Perkins, Bill Wyman and Dallas Taylor. Other outstanding albums include Going Back, Live in Montreux and the archival collection The Criteria Sessions.
