Cheer-Accident is an American rock band formed 1981 in Chicago, Illinois by leader Thymme Jones (vocals, trumpet, moog, keyboards), Jim Drummond (vocals) and Mike Greenlees (drums). Jones has also played trumpet on albums by Smog. The band plays math-rock, with complex arrangements and extended instrumental jams. Their sound has been likened to fellow Chicago band The Jesus Lizard. To-date they have released 20 studio albums. Outstanding albums include Life Isn't Like That, Trading Balloons, Introducing Lemon, Variations on a Goddamn Old Man and Fear Draws Misfortune.
