Guns n' Roses "Appetite For Destruction"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Geffen Records, Europe, 2015, 00720642414811, 180g Vinyl, Remastered

Appetite for Destruction is the debut album by Guns n' Roses originally released in 1987. The album debuted at No. 182 on the Billboard 200 album chart the week of August 29, 1987, and nearly a year later reached No. 1 the week of August 6, 1988, spending five non-consecutive weeks at number 1. Certified 18-times platinum and ranked the best-selling debut album of all time by the RIAA. In July of 2018, the album returned to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 after a deluxe reissue was released. The original vinyl cover artwork was a painting by the artist Robert Williams. This artwork was deemed too controversial by retailers and was replaced by a 'cross tattoo' designed by Bill White Jr. The vinyl release was split into Side G and Side R; G dealt with themes like drugs and life in the big city, while R dealt with sex and relationships. This is one of the premier hard rock albums of the '80s and Guns n' Roses' best album.
