Bim Sherman | Artist
Jarret Lloyd Vincent aka Bim Sherman was a Jamaican reggae musician and singer-songwriter born 1950 in Kingston. Sherman was gifted with a haunting ethereal voice and was hailed as "reggae's sweetest voice". In Jamaica in the '70s he recorded a number of classic reggae singles, he then moved to London and joined Adrian Sherwood and his coterie of post punk dub artists, which included New Age Steppers, Ari Up of The Slits and Prince Far I. Sherman recorded a handful of excellent roots reggae albums and towards the end of his life, during a visit to India, re-recorded many of his earlier songs with a full Indian classical orchestra. Outstanding albums include Love Forever, Danger, Ghetto Dub and Miracle.
