Chris Isaak is an American musician and actor born 1956 in Stockton, California. He is widely known for his '50s rockabilly crooner style and the hit songs "Wicked Game", "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing" and "Somebody's Crying". After graduating from college Isaak formed the band Silvertone with guitarist James Wilsey, who added the characteristic '50s "twang" guitar style reminiscent of Duane Eddy and Hank B Marvin. He released his debut album titled Silvertone in 1985 which attracted critical praise but low sales, although two tracks from the album were used by David Lynch in the movie "Blue Velvet". The follow-up album Chris Isaak was his breakthrough work, with the single "Blue Hotel". His third album Heart Shaped World contained the worldwide hit "Wicked Game" which was, once again, used by David Lynch for the movie "Wild at Heart". By this stage Isaak was a big star, selling records and, as an actor, appearing in movies such as Twin Peaks, Married to the Mob, Silence of the Lambs and The Thing you Do!. He has gone on to release twelve studio albums and several excellent live albums. Outstanding albums include Silvertone, Chris Isaak, San Francisco Days, Forever Blue, Baja Sessions and Live at the Fillmore.
