Gazpacho is a Norwegian progressive art rock band formed 1996 in Oslo, by Jan-Henrik Ohme (vocals), Jon-Arne Vilbo (guitar) and Thomas Andersen (keyboards). The core trio has since expanded with the addition of Mikael Krømer (violin), Robert R Johansen (drums) and Kristian Torp (bass). Their music has been described by one critic as being "classical, post ambient, nocturnal, atmospheric, neo-progressive, folk, world rock". Their sound has been compared to A-ha, Radiohead, Marillion and Porcupine Tree. To-date the band has released 10 studio albums, including standouts Night, Tick Tock, Missa Atropos and Demon. Their two live albums A Night at Loreley and London, are also highly regarded. The band was invited to perform at the second Marillion Convention Weekend which led to them getting the support slot on Marillion's 31-date European Marbles tour around 11 countries.
