Livin' Blues was a Dutch blues rock group formed 1967 in Den Haag, The Netherlands, by core members guitarist Ted Oberg and harp player John Lagrand. The band got their first break when they supported Fleetwood Mac on their Dutch tour in 1969. Later that year they released their debut album Hell's Session, which ploughed the same furrow as blues rockers Savoy Brown and Canned Heat. Their next album Wang Dang Doodle was stronger than the first but whether or not the world needed a 12 minute cover of Cream's "Spoonful" is questionable. By their excellent third album Bamboozle they had hit their peak and found success outside their Dutch homeland. The band has delivered nine studio albums and established their reputation as one of mainland Europe's leading blues outfits. Outstanding albums include Hell's Session (1969), Wang Dang Doodle (1970), Bamboozle (1971), Rocking at the Tweed Mill (1972) and Live '75 (1975).
