Down the River of Golden Dreams is the Second album from Austin TX based Indie Folk rockers Okkervil River, released in 2003. Led by Will Sheff on vocals and guitar, the band delivers their brand of bittersweet songwriting backed mainly by acoustic guitar with various eclectic instruments used to fill out the sound palette. This album was the first to win strong critical acclaim, and for many fans this is one of their best albums, alongside Black Sheep Boy and The Stage Names. This album will have you relaxing into it on first listen, and falling in love with it after a few more spins. If you're into Indie rock with a distinctly country/folk edge then this is definitely for you.
