Steve Hillage | Artist

Stephen Simpson Hillage is an English guitarist born 1951 in Chingford, London. Hillage was a member of Canterbury scene psych bands Arzachel and Khan before becoming a longstanding member of Gong, in collaboration with Daevid Allen. After Gong, Hillage released some excellent solo albums and worked with his wife and ex-Gong member Miquette Giraudy on various projects including Mirror System and System 7. Apart from his sublime work with Gong, Hillage has been hugely influential in shaping latter day Acid-techno and Psytrance music. Outstanding albums include Fish Rising, L, Green and Radio Dome Musick.
