Timothy Smith, alias TV Smith, est un auteur-compositeur-interprète anglais né en 1956 à Romford, au Royaume-Uni. Dans les années 1970, Smith a formé le groupe punk The Adverts, qui a enregistré l'album classique Crossing the Red Sea With the Adverts . Depuis, il a dirigé d'autres groupes et a poursuivi une carrière solo. Parmi ses albums marquants, citons Immortal Rich , Generation Y et Misinformation Overload .
