Allman Brothers live at the American University, Washington DC, 12/13/1970. This recording was made with the original band line-up prior to the classic Fillmore East sessions the following year. The tapes weren't released until 2002. Recordings pulled from a two-set show that was part of the tour supporting the band's second album release, Idelwild South. The set list includes "Trouble No More" and "Whippin' Post" from the debut album, plus "Don't Keep Me Wonderin'" and "Leave My Blues at Home" from the second album. In addition, we've got a nice version of Blind Willie Mctell's "Statesboro Blues", T-Bone Walker's "Stormy Monday" and an extended cover of "You Don't Love Me". These tracks would be featured in future band performances for years to come. The music throughout is highlighted by Duane Allman's killer guitar work trading off the second lead guitar of Dickey Betts.
