Boards of Canada is a Scottish electronic music duo formed 1986 in Edinburgh, by brothers Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin. Their music incorporates vintage synth's, analogue production methods, breakbeats and samples from 1970s public radio broadcasts. Signing to Skam and then Warp Records in the 1990s, they have to-date only released four studio albums in thirty years, but all have received resounding praise from critics. Their first three albums: Music Has The Right to Children (1998), Geogaddi (2002) and The Campfire Headphase (2005) are all superb releases. Coming eight years later in 2013 Tommorrow's Harvest, while not quite on par with their early work, is still an excellent album. Other outstanding releases include Hi Scores (EP) and In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country (EP).
