Canned Heat was an American blues band formed 1965 in Los Angeles, California. The original lineup was Bob "The Bear" Hite, Alan Wilson, Henry Vestine, Larry Taylor and Adolfo de la Parra. They played Boogie and Blues based rock and played support to Blues legends John Lee Hooker and Memphis Slim. They had some commercial success with songs "Goin' up the Country" and "On the Road Again". Outstanding albums include Boogie With Canned Heat, Living The Blues, Future Blues and Hooker 'n Heat.
