Death’s Dynamic Shroud aka death’s dynamic shroud.wmv is a collaborative vaporwave project between James Webster, Tech Honors and Keith Rankin, formed 2014 in Philadelphia, USA. Their signature sound typically samples video game soundtracks and 21st century pop songs in a mixtape-style format, oftentimes with special distortions and modifications made as a result of being bounced off analog recordings. In 2015, during the creation of their most popular and critically acclaimed album, I'll Try Living Like This, Keith Rankin’s addition to the group brought a much more high-fidelity, experimental sound (including sampling of anime soundtracks and k-pop) to the music, a shift that has helped the group form their distinct sound and visual aesthetic they personally refer to as “NUWRLD”. An extremely prolific recording outfit, to-date they have released 35 studio albums, plus singles and EP's. Standout releases include I'll Try Living Like This (2015), Heavy Black Heart (2017), Faith in Persona (2021), Transcendence Bot (2022) and Live From Japan (2019). Also highly recommended is the recent album Darklife from 2022. The group's works are self released by Ghost Diamond which is the collective body of music created by Tech Honors and James Webster.
