Declan Patrick MacManus aka Elvis Costello is an English musician, singer, songwriter, composer, record producer, author and television presenter, born 1954 in Paddington, London. Costello rose to fame in the late 70's Punk/New Wave movement on the back of his superb songwriting and the pop hooks. His band Elvis Costello & The Attractions produced classic singles such as "Alison", "Watching the Detectives" and "(I Don't Want to go to) Chelsea". He released six classic albums between 1977-1982 including My Aim is True, This Year's Model, Armed Forces, Get Happy!! and Imperial Bedroom. Other standout albums include King of America, Blood & Chocolate and 2010 compilation Live at Hollywood High. Throughout is career Costello has extended his musical boundaries through collaboration with artists such as Burt Bacharach, Brodsky Quartet and Allen Toussaint. He is married to fellow musician Diana Krall.
