The seminal first album from the Jim Carroll Band released in 1980 on the cusp of the transition of Punk to New Wave. Carroll's hard hitting lyrics coupled with the driving rock sound from his band, made this one of the most critically hailed albums of its day, and one of the best punk/new-wave albums out of the USA ever. Carroll would gain fame as the author of "The Basketball Diaries", but this album is arguably his greatest artistic statement.
