Killing Joke is an English Post Punk/Industrial band formed 1978 in Notting Hill, London. The original line-up was Jaz Coleman, Paul Ferguson, Geordie Walker and Youth. They played a blend of quasi-Metal with elements of Industrial and Goth in the mix. Youth leaves the band intermittently to pursue his dub interests and production work. Bands such as Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden all quoted Killing Joke as a primary influence on their work. Outstanding albums include Killing Joke, Night Time, Pandemonium and Hosannas From the Basements of Hell.
