Lucinda Williams | Artist

Lucinda Williams is an American rock, folk, blues, and country music singer, songwriter and musician born 1953 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her earliest work was based on traditional country and blues styles and received very little attention. That all changed with the excellent Car Wheels on a Gravel Road album from 1998, which won a Grammy Award for best album. Her later work is more rock influenced but retains country roots. Outstanding albums include Lucinda Williams, Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, Essence, World Without Tears and Live at The Fillmore.
