Phish is an American rock band founded 1983 at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, by Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman and Page McConnell. The band is known for progressive and psychedelic rock improvisation, extended jams, blending of genres, and its fanatical following. Anastasio is the band's main songwriter and his side projects include Trey Anastasio Band, Oysterhead, Amfibian and Surrender to the Air. Phish is also known for their live performances covering in their entirety the classic albums of famous bands such as The Who, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. And giving out donuts to their audience. Outstanding Phish albums include Junta, A Picture of Nectar, A Live One, Billy Breathes and Slip Stitch and Pass.
