Dragonfly is the self-titled sole album issued by late 1960's heavy psych-rockers who hailed from Durango Colorado, originally released 1968 on the Megaphone label. The album has achieved cult-like status for its heavy psych sound drenched with loads of acid-rock fuzz guitar. This is a true psych head's wet dream. Somewhat heavy, but very hard, guitar driven psych/hard rock, with garage influences, strong west coast flavour, extensive fuzz guitar, lots of psych effects, including echo and backwards tape loops. It's got it all. And though most bands of this genre always try to insert at least one soft ballad to show they're capable of more than just one thing, these guys crash out of the gate and never look back.
