For many years this was a bootleg collection called "San Franciscan Nights" finally remastered and released officially in 2016 on the UK Rox Vox label. All Tracks are recorded live at the Avalon Ballroom San Francisco at performances promoted by radio station KSAN. The performances are excellent and the reproduction quality is very good based on recordings taken off the mixing board. Artists include The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Country Joe & The Fish, Bo Diddley, Moby Grape and Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band. The recordings are released as three single LP's named Volume 1, 2 and 3, plus a 6 CD box set collection of all the material.
