China Crisis is an English new wave band formed 1979 in Kirkby, Liverpool, by core members vocalist/keyboardist Gary Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon. The band came out of the Liverpool new wave scene at the same time as bands such as Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), Echo and the Bunnymen, Teardrop Explodes and Flock of Seagulls. They released seven consistently good studio albums and two live albums. Their first three albums are standouts: Difficult Shapes and Passive Rhythms, Working With Fire and Steel and Flaunt the Imperfection. Between 1994-2015 the band performed continuously but didn't record, until releasing the excellent comeback album Autumn in the Neighbourhood in 2015.
