The Residents is an American art collective formed 1971 in Shreveport, Louisiana. The group members remain anonymous and operate under the entity The Cryptic Corporation. They play avant garde music which blends experimental rock, minimal synth, musical parody and conceptual art. Outstanding albums include Meet The Residents, Duck Stab, Eskimo and Demons Dance Alone.
