Manfred Mann was an English rock band formed 1962 in London. They were named after their keyboardist Manfred Sepse Lubowitz aka Manfred Mann who emigrated from South Africa to the UK at age 21 and went on to front Chapter Three and the Earth Band. Also in the original lineup were Mike Hugg, Paul Jones, Mike Vickers and Dave Richmond. Outstanding albums include The Five Faces of Manfred Mann and The Mighty Quinn.
