Queen "Queen II" (1974)

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Virgin Records, Europe, 2015, 0602547288240, 180g Vinyl, Remastered, Gatefold Sleeve

Queen II as the name suggests was Queen's Second studio album, released in 1974. This was the album that saw the band step up from the fairly ordinary progressive rock of the first self-titled album to a more distinctive style that had elements of Art-rock, Glam-rock. Heavy-rock and, to top it off, added Queen's signature dramatic style. Every member of the band was at their peak by this album and they came together to create some of the best music of the era, with unforgettable songs such as "White Queen", "The March of the Black Queen" and the monumental "Seven Seas of Rhye". Nothing like this music had been heard on commercial radio before, and with this album, Queen launched themselves onto the world stage for many years to come. This is the first in the trilogy of albums: Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack and A Night at the Opera, all recorded within 18 months of each other, which stand as the finest recorded works by this great band.
