Omara "Bombino" Moctar is a Nigerien singer-songwriter and guitarist born 1980 in Tidene, Niger. His blues/world style music is sung in Tamasheq and often addresses geopolitical concerns of the Turag cultural group. He is the lead member of Group Bombino and the subject of the documentary film "Agadez, the Music and the Rebellion". Outstanding albums include Agamgam 2004, Agadez, Nomad and Azel.
