Bruce Douglas Cockburn OC is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist born 1945 in Ottawa. His song styles range from folk to jazz-influenced rock and his lyrics cover a broad range of topics including human rights, environmental issues, politics, and Christianity. Over his career Cockburn has released 24 studio albums, maintaining a consistently excellent standard. His guitar playing skills coupled with his emotional renditions of his own compositions set him apart from most other singer-songwriters. Outstanding studio albums include Night Vision, In The Falling Dark, Dancing in the Dragon's Jaws, Humans, Stealing Fire and The Charity of Night.
