Edmund "Ed" Kuepper is an Australian guitarist, vocalist and songwriter born 1955 in Bremen, Germany. Kuepper's family migrated from Germany to Brisbane when Ed was 5 years old. Kuepper is one of Australia's most accomplished rock musicians, having co-founded punk band The Saints, experimental post-punk group Laughing Clowns and grunge band The Aints!, plus having a successful career as a solo artist. For Kuepper's solo work he draws on his expert composition and guitar skills to create work that has elements of post-punk, experimental rock, ballads and straight-forward rock styles. Not counting his band work, he has released, to-date, 26 studio and 12 live albums, and received multiple ARIA awards for his solo works. Outstanding albums include Today Wonder, Honey Steel's Gold, Serene Machine, Character Assassination, I Was a Mail Order Bridegroom, Jean Lee and the Yellow Dog, Second Winter and Lost Cities.
