Eddie Palmieri | Artist

Eddie Palmieri is an American pianist, bandleader, musician, and composer, born 1936 in New York City. His parents moved to the USA from Puerto Rico in 1926 and Palmieri was immersed in the vibrant NYC hispanic music scene from an early age. As a child he learnt Jazz piano and played at Carnegie Hall when he was 11 years old. He is the founder of the bands La Perfecta, La Perfecta II, and Harlem River Drive, and a multiple Grammy Award winner. Outstanding albums include Superimposition, Vámonos pa'l monte, Unfinished Masterpiece, Palo pa' rumba and Solito.
